Sometimes your best work happens in the very early hours of the day. At home or in a hotel room while you're on the road. Is that the best time to send a Spark Page to your prospect? Maybe not. Scheduling when your Spark Page emails will be delivered is easy to do. The rest of this article steps you through the process.
Scheduling a Spark Page email to be delivered or automatically resent
From this tab, you will be presented two different options:
- Schedule email delivery
- Smart Resend
Schedule email delivery
As the title implies, you can schedule an email to be sent on a specific day and time. Simply enable the option by ticking the slider control, then make your appropriate selections.
Smart Resend is very powerful. It gives you "super powers" your marketing team has been using for years. In this case, you can intelligently resend emails based on your recipient's behavior. Specifically, you can have Illumineto automatically resend messages if your recipients did not open your original email or if they did not visit your Spark Page.
Pro tip: It is highly recommended that you consider a different subject line for your email when enabling this feature. Marketing teams already know this trick: By changing the subject line -- even for the exact same content in the body of the email message itself -- there is a greater than 20% chance your email will get opened. Smart Resend will only send messages to those that meet the criteria in the "Resend Based On" drop list box. Lastly, Smart Resend must be set to at least 24 hours after your initial message was sent. A good rule of thumb is to resend 72 hours after the first message.
